A Hibachi Chef Convinced Me To Gladly Post About His Business

I just want to share a quick story to get you thinking.

I was at a Japanese steakhouse last night. It's one of those restaurants where they bring the food out and cook it on a grill in front of you. Our chef was very kind and energetic, basically the perfect person to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable.

He made a show out of cooking the food, and surprised us over and over again with little tricks and flips he would do with the food and cutlery. He goes in for the big finale (the classic onion volcano with a fried rice island surrounding it.) and as he is pouring the oil into the volcano, building anticipation as the onion begins to simmer and he reveals the lighter, he looks over to us and says something so simple yet so powerful:

"You might want to get your phone out... This is going to be nuts."

He didn't force us to like them on Facebook or ask us to send a tweet out to get 10% off an appetizer. He created a moment worth sharing.

How can you create moments in your business worth sharing? If your idea is unique enough, guiding people to share it will feel completely natural.
